  • Ran out of space!

We may all look grey, old and fat these days compared to 1973/75 (God how slim we were then with our long hair too) but the voices are still the same, eh Jon? Only difference is you could and can sing and play guitar whilst I can't! Keep on rockin'. At least I can still enjoy your music, especially the "Denver" 45 and B-side "Son Jon". Pretty much all your stuff was brill though.

  • Hi

  • Saw JK at Newcastle CIty Hall in 1972, he was touring "Backdrop". I loved him from the first moment I heard him on The Old Grey Whistle Test performing Madeleine. Got all of his albums on vinyl. I listen to them all all of the time. Great to see him again, rock on JK.

  • As I've said elsewhere I've everything he's done since "Denver" and the first LP on Parlophone, including this B-side. Saw the man twice, once at Newcastle upon Tyne City Hall 1973 touring "Backdrop" and then Newcastle Polytechnic 1975 touring "Two Days in Winter" where he did and electric band than acoustic solo set. RCA dropped him and he vanished. Oh and I think he did The Chillingham Hotel, Byker, Newcastle after that but I missed him unfortunately. Nice to see him back performing live again

  • Never had the pleasure of seeing him do this one live and I hope one day I might. It is a wonderfully well constructed song that clearly epitomises his outstanding musical talents. He is undoubtedly one of the best wordsmiths and melody makers of our time.
