No doubt that Afghanistans towns, all of them have their individual beauty - from Gwadar and Quetta to Peshawar, Ningarhar, Herat, Balkh and Bamyan but this song is about the historical significance of Kandahar and its influence on Pashtun identity.

Kandahar is the place from where the Pashtun revolt against the Persians got going which eventually ended in the take-over of power in Isfahan.

It's the place where the Afghan empire was established and where Mirwais & Ahmad Shah are burried.
