Visit [H]ard forums & you can fix the motherboard yourself with little effort. There is a GPU/Northbridge heat issue with the laptop. You actually could have had it repaired by Everext way back, even out of warranty, but its too late now. Sorry for the trouble you had - I had to wait over 3 months to get my laptop back.

Yes, it does well in UT2k4 - I'm holding out hope that it will be able to handle some UT3 as well. Might need a CPU upgrade though.
