@paulstevencassidy This was at Ronnie Scott's in 1986 two years before he "fell" to his death. Van Morrison also sang "Send in the Clowns" in this set. I have the whole show on vhs w/ interviews w/ Chet. One of my all time favorite music videos. Maybe it's on dvd by now.

I 1st saw Elvis live on his first tour ('76?) Have seen him live 4 times; have most of his work- yet have never seen this- with Chet Baker no less (a brilliant, tragic waste of talent [heroin]) Fantastic

There's no description for this video. There's no need. This music in this video is nothing but pure class. Nothing less, nothing more
The song is devastatingly powerful. Gotta say that I have never heard such a nakedly honest rendition of the tragic consequences of love. It's even more poignant with Chet performing it in one of his last onstage appearances.

I love hearing Chet sing this song and Elvis Costello isn't bad either. However Dinah Washington owns the song.
