Detta är sekvenser som jag ( Faysal Eladhari) filmade under några skakande dagar under mars 1986. Det handlar om Palme mordet. Jag använde en Video8 Sony Handycam (1:a modellen 1985).

Natten till den första mars 1986 sov jag hos en vän och på morgonen väcker han mig och visar mig DN:s första sida där det stod: Olof Palme mördad...

Sekvens 1 visar Essingeleden och skolan i Duvbo med flaggan på halvstånd medan SR spelar sorgmusik

Sekvens 2 visar folksamlingen på Sveavägen den 1:a mars 1986 på kvällen. Folk hade spontant dragits till mordplatsen under hela dagen och lagt blommor och ljus. På den snöiga trottoaren fanns Palmes blod fortfarande synligt.....

Sekvens 3 visar en stor demonstration på Sergels Torg, två dagar efter mordet. Man hade antytt att det var en utlänning som hade mördat Palme och invandrarna var både oroliga och förfärade över mordet. Demonstrationen ville visa samhörigheten mellan svenskar och invandrare i landsorgen. Sten Anderson höll tal till folkmassan och en känd sångerska (?) ledde allsång av We Shall Overcome

Sekvens 4 visar hur folket efter demonstrationen går till Sveavägen och lägger blommor på mordplatsen.

This is footage that I (Faysal Eladhari) filmed for a few harrowing days in March 1986. It's about Palme assassination. I used a Sony Handycam Video8 (first model of 1985)

On the night of March 1, 1986 I slept att a friend´s place and in the morning he wakes me and shows me the DN's front page : Olof Palme assassinated ...

Sequence 1 shows Essingeleden and Duvbo School with flag at half position while the SR plays sad music

Sequence 2 shows the crowd at Sveavägen March 1, 1986 in the evening. People were spontaneously drawn to the murder scene throughout the day and put flowers and candles. On the snowy sidewalk was Palme's blood still visible ... ..

Sequence 3 shows a large demonstration at the Sergel Square, two days after the murder. It was suggested that there was an alien who had murdered Palme and immigrants was both worried and appalled by the murder. The demonstration purpose was to show affinity between Swedes and immigrants whilw the country is mourning. Sten Anderson made ​​speeches to the crowd and a famous singer (?) led the singing of We Shall Overcome

Sequence 4 shows how people after the demonstration went to Sveavägen and lay flowers at the murder scene.
