hey im looking at buying my neibors 68 camaro that has a 327 sbc (all stock) and was wondering how much money it would cost to build a 327 like yours 450-500hp 7-8k rpm? im seeing alot of people saying it cant be done unless spending about 10k and still be reliable.

Nice to see someone that runs their engine at 2000+rpm upon initial start-up, like they are supposed to. Wish I had a dime for every video that is labelled "first start" and shows the engine idling at 800 rpm or less, during the entire vid. Your knowlege and investment have resulted in a sweet-sounding small block. Looking forward to viewing additional footage of this engine performing strongly on the test track.
I have about $6000 into my motor maybe a couple hundred more but no more than $6500 and I am still running strong til this day. My motor is pushing well over 450 at the crank and it has no problem spinning 8000 rpm right now! I would have to say they are all wrong this is proof brother...

Check out my other videos and you can hear it a whole lot better, As far as performance goes I just had my truck dyno tested and i am pushing 475 hp at the crank @ 7000 rpm. My speed was 140 mph with 4:11 gears he still could of went more than 7000 rpm I seen my tach get up to 7800 rpm as i started to go sideways @ 40 mph so I got out of it. It was not missing a beat either, it is a great setup thats for damn sure. Now if I could get traction we would be in business.
