Hey man, i just started palm muting, but i do it far form the bridge, over the middle pickup. Still works, just leting u know some people might find it easier this way. Gotta keep an open mind when teaching, remember that. Thumbs up for the video tho

Hey mate if you mute up the strings too far you will mute the strings completely rendering the technique uesless. Any guitar teacher will tell you this.
