@1992Ignorance Also, I like the Dixie Chick's music too. I just don't want politics to be shoved down my throat at a concert. We all have opinions, but some of their fans may have liked Bush. That's why I wouldn't say a President is an idiot. I would just say I don't like their policies or ways, but not get personal.

@1992Ignorance Well, for death threats, that is harsh. I wouldn't kill someone over political comments. Plenty of people have said they hated Obama. That's why I don't believe racism has to do with most of the Obama hate, since Bush has gotten more backlash than Obama. It's just noticeable in Obama more. As for Bush, he probably didn't know about the death threats. He was just saying he was agreeing with their Freedom of Speech and others have the right to protest, not death threats.

@HippieGoddess142 and what are you talking about, that was her whole point. They are pissed off that people had that strong of a reaction that they would send death threats. That is an extreme. If someone was sending me death threats I would be a little pissed off too. Thats why Bush's comment was dumb, their 'feelings' weren't hurt they could possibly have gotten hurt, and all for saying they dont like the president. Give me a break. How many people have said they dont like Obama.

How was that a stupid comment? George Bush was right. They were the top selling female band and shouldn't have been upset that some people didn't want to buy their albums. He's right, it's a two way street. Did they expect to make a comment about the president and everyone would just smile and agree with them. They were a bunch o cry-babies who couldn't take the heat.
