@drkstrong Were they laughing at the guy commenting, or laughing at the guy who just gave the presentation? This was a required lecture for the students, so no telling how many of them actually wanted to be there.
Please, continue debunking everything that was said.

@LaughingAtLiberals 1) H edid not reply because the guy brought up so many items - mostly in error - that it would have taken another lecture to correct it all and as you saw most students were leaving (end of lecture) and they were laughing at the comments so even they knew it was largely garbage.
The ASun - in th elong term does have an influence on climate - it is not causing the current bout of global warming.

@drkstrong Then why did Fountain not respond with that? Actually, earlier in the presentation, Fountain himself cited solar activity as one of many influences on our climate.

The guy loses the argument when he mentions solar activity causing the warming - which has been shown to be definitively untrue.

Can you explain why CO2 doesn't warm the atmosphere?

@campbead0 Are you talking to me, or one of the guys in the video? If you're asking me, then let me answer that with a question. Do you know, off the top of your head, what percentage of our atmosphere consists of carbon dioxide? And what level do all the "experts" say we need to lower it to avoid planetary implosion (or whatever scary terminology is being used these days)?

@campbead0 If you say that increases in CO2 cause global warming, would it not be important to know how much CO2 there is right now, how much there was before global warming started happening, and what the experts say we need to lower it to?
