@colbyrobinson43 Actually the problem was with dirty fuel injectors and a few other tune-up items. What does my driving have to do with it? It's an automatic transmission = put your foot to the floor and drive straight, it's not hard and it will not be any different if you are anybody else was driving it. I was stating in this video that this particular LS was slower than the other one I owned and others I have driven.

Get a tune.

@Carpoof1 2nd gear is so short for 0-60 times
but ur car has something wrong with it, should be shifting in to 3rd at 62mph
it's shifting at to low an rpm for some reason
-
It probably has an even more conservative tune than stock, put on there by a past dealer or somewhere of the sort, you can tell by the early shift points.

If he thinks thats slow i should post a video of my rangers 0-100. if it even can get up that high of speed.

ls is just ba quality had an 05 and had to fix air engine mount window and more in a matter of months.

no lie i thought these cars would be semi quick, 0-60 around 5ish.. but they slow as shit, they look nice but that v8 badge is just for show, cant back it up :-(
How many gears does this car have? AND WHY IS 2ND GEAR SO DAMN SHORT? ALL THAT DOES IS JUST CHOKE ALL THE OTHER GEARS.

@Royaleboy The car has a 5-Speed automatic. 2nd gear is very short, but at the same time, I can't imagine it going from 1st to 3rd because those ratios are too far off. 2nd gear is great for making it smooth and economical when you're not driving at WOT.

Yeah, that was all city driving, plus I drove it like I stole it. On a good tank, I would average 16.5 or so. It's a v8 luxury sedan, what do you expect? It would get over 26 MPG on the highway though.

is it possible to swap out the v6 to a v8
jeromemorri 11 months ago
@jeromemorri This one actually was the V8 model. As far as swapping, it would probably not be worth while considering the wiring, PCM, Accessories, Front Suspension components, and probably a few other things would have to be changed as well.
