@dudesolardude if you're against subsidies then be consistent and be against ALL subsidies. petroleum and the auto industry have been governent subsidized forever. this is what pisses me off about the "right." by the way i'm more conservative than the right is.

I don't know why they call themselves that.

@failurbanik if you are against subsidies, then be consistent and be against ALL subsidies. renewables have a rough time because the playing field is not level. petroleum and the auto industry have been heavily subsidized forever. that's what pisses me off about these arguments.

@dudesolardude tell me why does clean energy fail when goverment money isnt force feed to them
tell me these "other" options
solar is inefficent AT BEST
wind sucks half of the time
geo only is in a few spots
hydro is the same
biomass is good but the leftists are scared of it so they wont allow it
-
@failurbanik there's like 5 ways to make electricity - all of them domestic. energy independence.
-
So, we cant use oil, we cant use coal, we cant use nuclear power... what do we have left ? Wind and solar? please... maybe we should all just die?, isn't that what the environmentalist religion is about?

This woman needs some meds...she's soo angry at the world and it shows through her rhetoric like "engage in peaceful civil disobedience"...there's nothing peaceful about shouting and protesting in public

@sockosockosocko You don't know the science. You watch an Al Gore video and see water vapor coming out of stack and think your an expert. You probably have a degree in Liberal Arts and have never worked in Environmental Sciences or combustion engineering or Chemistry. Coal can and is burned cleanly with the use of precipitators(particulate), bag houses(particulate), ACI(Mercury), low nox burners (nox), scrubbers(sox) urea inj(nox), SCR(nox). Coal provides affordable power to the poor.

@sockosockosocko There was a study done on this recently using actual data(air monitors) not heresay or associations. The Fisk & Crawford plants have mercury removal systems even though you can't measure mercury coming out of the stack with instrumentation(it is in the parts per trillion) The mercury in energy efficient light bulbs actuall y have substantial amounts of mercury. Greenpeace is a bunch of liars the person who was spokesman on the stack said she was a Chicagoan. Not from California

@stevedh7x21z --- your comment is neither true nor helpful in any way.
hey patbuchananarmy, wake up and read the science. hope your hummer catches on fire. the funny thing is i don't even care if global warming IS human induced. stopping coal will bring cleaner air, cleaner water(no mercury), stop tons of cancer in those regions, stop mountain top removal and set a good precedent for other developing countries. you are either slow or just a jerk.
