Langan, allegedly, possesses a high IQ, and yet he insinuates that faith is dead. This, quite simply put, is nonsense and an unfounded argument, especially when you consider that atheists and agnostics count for around ten per cent of the world's population. I find his utopian sentiments hard to believe because of these bold generalised statements. He seems to think that he doesn't have to convince us of the validity of much of what he says.

Human minds, like other complicated information systems, do not actually work on binary logic: the state of true and false is not the only answer that we have to accept. We have to accept 5 basic knowledge states: true, false, don't know [ie NULL], don't understand [ie UNDEFINED], and something went wrong trying to figure it out [ie ERROR].

Stupid people are those that deny this: don't pretend you know everything, understand everything, or that nothing can go wrong in determining it.
