  • The two great masters have recorded a few albums together- late 1970s, if memory serves. All on vinyl, though possibly they may have been remastered to CD. This duet is on the "live" album, which was recorded in NY and Boston. I'm not sure the album can still be found in shops, but it is a must have for anyone who loves this kind of music. Superb performances by outstanding musicians.

  • A few corrections: their 2 studio albums (Together & Together Again) were recorded in '72 and '74. 'Live' was recorded in '79. All albums were initially released on CD with the same tracks and covers as the original LP's, although on 'Live' 'Oriental' was omitted, possibly because producing long CD's (>74 minutes) was a bit problematic in the early days of CD's.

  • (continued) These releases are out of print and are replaced with new re-releases of Together and Together Again with material of Live as filler. However other tracks of 'Live' are now omitted on these re-releases, such as their splendid performance of Brahms' Theme and Variations (another track I uploaded). Oriental was included in this re-release, I used this to 'complete' my 'Live' CD: burning a 76,5 minute CD is of course no problem nowadays ;-)

  • i showed them both how to do that.

  • Yes; rendered on the guitar it has a distinctive charm all its own. Williams and Bream could play it on ukeleles, I think, and it would still sound good!

  • drop it down from 10 stars to five for making every other guitarist seem infantile by being so good nhaha

  • Maestria!

  • so, nine stars? sounds about right!

Difficult to tell though - sound quality's not very good so maybe only five!

  • i personally really enjoyed John Williams; I think these two are great for each other, having similar sensibilities but slightly differing sound and style, if you know what I mean
