Recorded in 1993 and revised in 2009, Variations on a Folk Song is a story and choreography about Diane Dragone's maternal grandparents and their emigration from Italy to America in the early twentieth century. Music is by Antonio Louis Scarmolin, choreography by Diane Dragone, and performance by the Kennedy Dancers in 1993 at the historic Central Railroad termina in Jersey Cityl. The CRR is part of the Immigrants trilogy of passing the Statue of Liberty, processing at Ellis Island, and 75% of the immigrants first stepping on mainland America at the CRR. Production is by Tom Horan.
