the armalite ar-15 was before m-16 and issued before the m-16 not only knowing the m-16 was a direct design of the armalite ar-15 (correct me if im wrong) so why does EVERYONE mention the m-16 and never the ar-15?

the m14 in vietnam was accurate up 850yrds and the new ones can hit a target at over 1000yrds

In 1955, had the m-14 been manufactured with the cosmetic changes of the EBR, the m-16 may not have been so readily adopted.

ha ha they fixed the m16 and upgraded it, when they did that it didn't jam often and was pretty accurate.

M-14 is beast! in the 70s they made a shortend version. too bad the M-16 was out

EM2 and FN FAL in British .280 would of been better. And the Armalite AR18 with its gas piston would of been better than DI. Shame.
