Why do these anti-religious people focus so much on christianity?

Focus on islam instead, like 10 people died in an islamic protest this week because some crazy ass christian priest burned a Korane. (According to the newspaper)

Cant religion die already?

@Djentard While the popular opinion might be such, it is my understanding that Satanism (especially LaVeyan Satanism you refer to) is not intended as a clone of one of the Abrahamic religions replacing god with Satan and good with evil, but an ideology calling for strength of the individual. Of course it remains to be seen if followers reflect that image and if this is just a case of saying "but _real_ {christians/satanists/...} are such and such" :)

@Djentard Americans feel anti-xtian sentiments on a deeper level than another religion the majority of their country doesn't belong to or one the individual was never apart of. If I were brought up Muslim in a Muslim-majority country I'm sure I would hate that religion just as much. But I'm in America and that's not the case. I don't know how to make it any more clear.

@liquidpig Well playing metal in middle eastern muslim countries can lead to jail/fines or even death. I'd say that is a bit more extreme then no liqour on Sunday.

@Djentard Again, it's it's the one that's most prominent. It's inevitable backlash. Your estimation of 500 years is too long; the Salem Witch Trials were ~300 years ago, for instance. And I still can't buy liquor on a Sunday in Texas, that's just one symptom of how seeped our society is in xtianity. Islam has its place too of course, but it's easier to focus on the majority, especially when they most likely have xtian background themselves and resent that. So. You asked why, that would be why.
