A Home Front cartoon by Tex Avery. The Pilgrims land at Plymouth Rock and found a colony. A long line of Pilgrims can be seen standing in line... for cigarettes. One Pilgrim goes hunting for Thanksgiving dinner and meets a jerky turkey who sounds an awful lot like Jimmy Durante. The turkey sells himself to the Pilgrim and then the fun begins. Finally, the turkey convinces the Pilgrim to give up the chase and join him for a meal at Joes, where they both are in for a surprise. ENJOY!

  • @chicagoSUGANO Thanks very much. I knew these classic toons would be popular. Appreciate your sharing them. It's my hope that those too young to remember these will enjoy them as much now as I did growing up watching them. They sure as heck don't make 'em this good anymore. Haven't for a long time now.

  • THANKS MUCHO for posting this is a Classic.

  • "Eat at Joe's" has been a slogan of mine before I even knew about this cartoon. I even put it on my high school yearbook under my picture way back in '81.

  • The morale of this cartoon is: Don't eat at Joe's

  • i used to be scared of him hahah

  • Eat at Joes's

...so why don't we eat at Joe's?

    Alright, we'll eat at Joe's.

    Eat at Joe's.

    Joe's

    I'm Joe.

    Don't eat at Joe's!

  • HEY TURKEY!

    LOL.

  • I love these public domain cartoons no matter how old they get, they'll always be #1 to me!

  • I have been looking for this cartoon for a long time now!! I used to watch it all the time as a kid. I had it in Spanish but it's still was just as hilarious as is in English. I have it somewhere in my collection of classic cartoons but I could never remember which VHS tape it was on or what was the name of the cartoon.

Thanks for posting it. I will be sharing this video with my family because they have been wanting to see it again for years also.

  • These vintage toons were made with LOVE in the USA.

Now they're outsourced and made on an assembly line. The old Masters have passed on to Toon-Heaven and the new people are oblivious to the Real Deal, they don't have a clue as to what ART is.

You're a Gem for posting these, most enjoyable..
