  • Some of those were "stramazzone" as well.

  • They serve no martial prupose, but it`s to "break up" the routine for the fencer, so he can keep time and remember the rest of the routine.

  • I'm not up on my Manciolino. I understand the "cross-blocking" motions (where the swords clash), but not the little twirl/fourishes on on the side. What's the purpose behind those?
