In the Weekly Republican Address, Senator-elect Marco Rubio (R-FL) says, "For too long, Washington has taken our country in the wrong direction: bigger government, reckless spending, and run away debt. And though I'm a proud Republican, here's the truth, both parties have been to blame. This election the American people said enough is enough. That message was loud and clear. We Republicans would be mistaken if we misread these results as simply an embrace of the Republican party. This Election is a second chance. A second chance for Republicans to be what we said we were going to be."

He points out, "The past two years provided a frightening glimpse at what could become of our great nation if we continue down the current path: wasteful spending, a growing debt and a government reaching ever further into our lives, even into our health care decisions. It is nothing short of a path to ruin, a path that threatens to diminish us as a nation and a people. One that makes America not exceptional, not unique, but more like the rest of the world."

Sen.-elect Rubio pledges, "As Republicans, here is what our commitment should be to you. Our focus must not be simply winning elections. It must be to ensure the next generation inherits a strong, free and prosperous America. . . . [W]e will put forward bold ideas and have the courage to fight for them. This means preventing a massive tax increase scheduled to hit every American taxpayer at the end of the year. It means repealing and replacing the disastrous health care bill. It means simplifying our tax code, and tackling a debt that is pushing us to the brink of our own Greece-like day of reckoning."

  • Every Liberal needs to watch this, maybe then they might start to understand a little more about what's going on in this Country. This is what the Country is going to turn into. Not Politicians, Representatives.

The Power lies with the States and the People, not the Federal Government. .

  • @Thom3568 George Soros is a souless person, when I viewed him saying that his time condeming the Jews and liberating their possessions from them and by proxy their lives his own statements condemn him.

  • Rubio is PURE POISON! A manufactured product of the ASPEN INSTITUTE. The next generation marionette, Rubio a true believer, emotionally addicted to his belief in the sacrosanctness of Israel as an outcome of his visit to Yad Vashem and Billionaire Branam. Mark Braverman described Yad Vashem as an indoctrination center for all American politicians and policy makers.

Congressmen, Senators, etc, are trotted to Israel, taken to YV, and administered the injections; thereafter, they are hooked.

  • @Tarreffic

LOL You are right. MoveOn depends on that type to keep them relevant. Otherwise George Soros would appear to be what he must be, a bitter very rich person who probably shields his money from as many taxes as he can but wants our government to tax us to death. Looking at their types do serve a benefit, it reminds us how fortunate we had the founding fathers we had and not a bunch of tools like them. :-)

  • @pwdminotauro I'd like to see him get a term as a state governor under his belt, just for the executive experience, but I could seriously see him as a 2020 GOP candidate.

  • You're looking at a future President.

  • @Raford146 Assuming you are correct, should they have backed Castro? One usually has two choices. We can thank Fidel for sending us the best immigrants ever. It is the only good thing he ever did and he didn't mean it kindly.

  • @Raford146

Is that worse than George Soros selling the possessions of the Jewish families the Nazis hauled off? Is that reflective of the MoveOn type of people?

  • God Bless America. And God may guide the new Senators and Representatives.
