these intimate clips that are all over youtube of Pete backstage in his dressing room or in the studio are really bringing me back to him as my one true inspiration for playing guitar....when I was a kid The Who spoke directly to me in so many ways....made me feel like it was ok to be who I was, an awkward shy kid who loved music.........these videos make me feel like a kid again and Pete is, once again, involving me directly in his amazing journey......

The word 'genius' gets passed around so easy, but in this case it is totally apt.
I don't know about you lot, but watching this makes me feel like a complete idiot.

A conversation with Pete would probably go like this
"Who are you?"
"Fuck off! ! "
& I would crawl back to the corner from whence I came.
His intellect and songwriting abilitys make all but the great composers seem mediocre.
I for one, -were- I a songwriter would hang up my songwriting socks after seeing this !
