Part 7 of the acclaimed documentary on the making of the cult classic RETURN TO OZ. This documentary premiered in 2007 at an Oz event in Spartanburg, South Carolina. It is the only documentary in history to feature footage from both MGM's THE WIZARD OF OZ and Disney's RETURN TO OZ.

  • pixar films worthless??? thats crazy! they are some of the few good family films being made these days! other than that remark haha this is great, good job on the documentary! return to oz was an important film in my childhood

  • @virusinsideus Thank you for the kind words about my documentary! Yeah, I agree that Sean's comments about the Pixar films is pretty silly, but give him a break. He was only a young kid when I filmed this interview.

  • By whom is this documented acclaimed? Its amateurishness is embarrassing even compared to normal Youtube standards.

  • @HConstantine I'm sorry you didn't like my documentary, even though you watched the whole thing and commented several times. It is acclaimed by the RTO fanbase and you can read other comments here on YouTube of people saying nice things about it. It's also one of my most viewed works; each clip has several thousand hits.

  • This film for me was so much better than WOZ. I was a 90s kid & just wasnt into musicals or 'old movies' plus Judy Garland to me looked like a 'grown up' I thought RTO was much more dark and edgy, the witch and the wheelers were awesome! Loved Fairuza Balks Dorothy! More haunted and brave over wholesome and helpless! And the mental hospital-how scary was that! My son now loves it too. (I always wanted to find a lunchpail tree) Thanks 4 the doc!

  • @Diazefan Thank you for the kind words and glad you liked the doc. Also am glad to meet fellow fans of RTO. Hope your son continues to love the movie!

  • @woollybully100 Thank you so much for your kind words on my documentary. It's good to meet others out there who love RTO!

  • Terrific documentary, I wish the dvd had something like this on it. Great job, I'm sure it must have been difficult to make. I personally love the film and hav so ever since i was a kid and would rent it from my local video store and yes i'll admit it's not AS good as the Wizard of Oz but it's a great film in its own right, it may never be as well known as the other in history but hopefully its huge cult fanbase will keep it alive and more will discover it cause it really should b better known.

  • @wildchildlikeu Thanks for all your comments and I'm glad to meet someone else who loves RTO!

  • Hello! things were happy in Oz at the end. Idk what everyone was so upset about. Again...ppl expected songs n dance & didn't appreciate the film as its own movie & its own version of what happens to Dorothy after she returns home. Oz was always scary but beautiful. Judy Garland even says so in the end of WOZ. Great movie in my opinion. Wonderful music.
