I love this role - and comparing all the different voices, interpretations and staging. Just beautiful. That kind of bubbling-over youthful anxiety is so cute and endearing. Weren't we all a bit like this when we first fell in love? It makes you want to wring your hands when you remember it.

One thing that could be preventing her from breathing properly, is if they have her wrapped to tightly to flatten her chest

Just enjoy the moment, people. .... we are not at war here,,,!

@Takoon not for me .
For me if they can sing like that (even if it is not perfect) but if it is for entertaining
I prefer it like this
if it is just the singing I'll just buy the aria for a 1000 singers that can sign it right but cant perform (act)

Agradecimentos - quando estará disponível em blu-ray - excelente ação e cantores !!!!!!!!!!

@Takoon I think she "acts" breathy in this show only because Cherubino is supposed to be nervous (either in front of the countess or in this scene where he's worried he might be sacked). I have a DVD of Cosi where she sings Dorabella and I think she sings correctly there.

Nikiteanu, you´re AMAZING, I really really love your interpretation of Cherubino!
Warning: comment of low meritorical value.
So very LGBT, in a way. Just a few years back, and it would be scandalous enough for da Ponte himself to like it. ;)

I appreciate that her acting was very good, great even, but without the vocal technique to back it up, I was just distracted the whole time.

I agree when it comes to her acting but... what's wrong with her voice?
Why is her technique wrong?

Her voice was incredibly breathy, and wasn't supported correctly. I can't speak for whether that's true always or just for this song, but she doesn't need the breathlessness to enhance the acting.

Oh! That! Lol
It's part of the acting. I agree, it's a little unnecessary, but she does it to appear more desperate. Check out the other videos! Perhaps she does have a wrong technique after all. So if you're gonna criticize her, do it thoroughly ; )
