@FrankCoffman No you just believe everything that media and you were indoctrinated in school. If it was fought over slavery then why is it we didn't have Civil Rights for 100 years. The only thing that is wacko are people like you that keep thinking that we will spend our way out of debt. Go read and study history instead of learning it off of the tv. @FrankCoffman He was wrong to fight the Civil War. I do not believe in slavery but go back in your history the Civil war was fought over taxing not slavery. Slavery existed way before Lincoln was ever born. George Washington had many slaves. Ron Paul has enough since to know we haven't won a war and shouldn't have been in any wars since WWII. All we've done is get our men killed FOR WHAT every country we fought is still communist. So has it worked NO!

@FrankCoffman What has civil rights done all it did was make minorities dependent on the government. We as American people should not be checked at airports "illegal search and seizure. Read it in the Constitution.  Yes the DC law was overturned because it was illegal what I want is for people to quit thinking that more laws will make our country more free and better. It hasn't it's made more people depend on the government. Labor laws are for lazy ass people.

Ron Paul doesn't support freedom. He opposed civil rights laws. He and his son still speak out against anti-discrimination laws. Ron Paul's newsletter was full of racist comments. He said that Lincoln was wrong to fight the civil war~! Last year, Ron Paul said that the opposition to Ghaddafi was Al Qaeda. When his son had a problem with airport security, Ron Paul said that the "police state in this country is out of control." How absurd. He's always saying crazy things.

The gun law in DC was overturned. Guns are sold freely everywhere. No background checks at gun shows! Armed criminals are the real threat. Other countries have sensible gun laws, but our gun nuts block sensible laws.

You want to go back to the 1920s -- before labor rights, before civil rights, before Social Security, before environmental protection, before workplace protection, etc. The "good old days." Ha. You're living in a fantasy world of the past. Ron Paul is a kook.
