i grew up in sweden and cheer for AIK, where he played before coming to the NHL. i'm in NY now and was in 11th grade when he died. He was a hero back home and in Philly. RIP Pelle

I saw his last game with the Flyers before that fateful night.... He was the next Bernie Parent, my all-time hero...
This is a touching Viedo...back when Pelle came over to play with the Flyers,i worked on his car when he first came from sweden,i met his girl friend and her father and till this day,i can see his huge smile, he was a great guy and pretty funny...i'll always remeber him..Honkers48

Thanks - I had seen him play and enjoyed every minute. You are so fortunate to have met him - that is something I wish I had done.

Was Lindbergh the last goalie to wear this type of Goalie Mask?

No, Sam St. Laurent was the last to wear a vintage mask with the Detroit red Wings in 1989-90.

Thank you so very much for this video. I remember when Pelle died and like all of Philadelphia was heartbroken. You are so fortunate to have seen him play in person. Aside from being the best in world, my understanding was that the fans really loved him for his humility and graciousness. Pelle was a rare breed and I still miss him to this day. Like other athletes who have died in his prime, you can say his life was an unfinished symphony of greatness. Thanks for the great video. GO FLYERS!

Thanks for your appreciation! It was amazing to see him play, and that night was one I will always remember - the only time I ever wore a suit and tie to a game!
