Using a Teacher-Authored Website as an e-Learning Platform

The purpose of this presentation is to demonstrate how teacher-authored Website can function as an e-Learning Platform in the field of science teacher education. For this presentation an emphasis is placed on the role of e-Learning Platforms to enhance traditional classroom instruction. The main functionalities of the Website , including displaying the syllabus, delivery of content, e-mail and uploading links, as well as student assignments and tasks, are presented. One of the objectives of the presentation is to create a discussion/debate in the educational community regarding the relationship between e-Learning and traditional classroom instruction in the science education classroom.
