The Dresden Dolls performing the Paul Williams and Kenny Ascher penned "The Rainbow Connection" at the Capital Hill Arts Center in Seattle on July 28th, 2006.

The song was written for "The Muppet Movie" and was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Original Song in 1980, but lost to "It Goes Like It Goes" from "Norma Rae."

    I love this song. ... It's very "them" if you listen to their other songs. :)

  • It is better than some of the cover versions out there that I have seen. She sings it more simply, which is the way it was meant to be sung, but changing the lyrics was horrible. Not bad but not very good either.
