Animated Lower Thirds in Sony Vegas Pro 8: Tutorial

Ever wonder how the big news programs like 20/20, Anderson Cooper 360 or 60 minutes makes those flashy lower thirds?? In this tutorial I show you how to make an animated lower third using Sony Vegas Pro 8. No need to buy pre made lower thirds, you can do it your self very quickly..

are you talking about the motion background? You can get those from the sony website in the free downloads section. You can make your own using a solid color as well..

Great tutorial! I got it real fast, however when I drag the lower third to the bottom its moving in the task pane, but it stays the same in my event screen...Did I somehow miss something?

Nice video, it helped a lot. Exactly what I was looking for. Not to critique you or anything but the smacking of your lips was a little irritating, didn't really alter the main aspect of the video but it was just a tiny bit distracting. Other than that, this video helped a lot, you've got my thumbs up :) I also have a question, how do you get the animated thing?

on the video preview box theres like an icon on the right of preview(auto) that looks like a number sign. click on that or click on the bottom arrow and click grid.
