@BsCeltics they wanted marbury because he and kg were best friends I'm pretty sure kg wouldn't have been too happy playing with ray allen knowing they passed up a marbury deal

@DrSanto91 Kobe wouldn't have played for the Hornets. He was trying to orchestrate a trade to LA. Hornets drafted him specifically for LA, as the deal for Divac was already in place the day before the draft. LA just told them to draft for them if their man (who turned out to be Kobe) was still on the board. Hornets said they never would have even considered drafting Bryant, so even though the record books say he was drafted by the Hornets, it was really the Lakers who chose him.
