The song, Bill 101 describes the passing of the language law, from the perspective of the Anglophone community. It describes the success of the bill in diminishing the English language within the province of Quebec, through the small number of English school boards within the province. It describes the unfairness towards those Franco-phones wishing to have their children enrolled within the English system, but are unable to do so, without a certificate stating, they themselves attended English elementary schools. Finally the song critiques Bill 101 as protecting the French culture, yet negating the immigrant populations, or the Catholic religion which had historically been linked with the French population since the settlement of New France.

@wildnutria Dumeass, in BOTH refurendumes the people of Quebec voted to stay Canadian. If the YES votes had won you'd be right, but the NO votes won the day. And FYI, Alberta dosn't want to be part of Canada either, but you don't see anyone complaining about that.
"Quebec is a dictatorship"
I didn't know that a dictator came to power by a democratic election, and has little power because of the opposition, oh wait, they don't. Your just pissed because the smartets PM's where from Quebec.

@dave19941000 Wrong, Quebec does not want to be a part of Canada so then Quebec is NOT Canada, try to understand that...and bill 101 is NOT a Canadian!! Quebec is a dictatorship.

Bill 101 did not just help Quebec, but the 2.5 million Franco-Ontarians, Acadians, Franco-Columbians, Franco-Albertans, Fransaskois', Franco-Manitobans, and Franco-Newfoundlander's. 2.5 million people wjo speek french who live outside of Quebec, who benifited from the bill. (2.5+8= 10.5 million people who didn't need tp worry about the fact English speeking Canadians out numbered us). P.S. Weaster provinces are assholes for the stadium issue.

@wildnutria Quebec IS part of the real Canada. The real Canada is Quebec and Ontario, no other provinces can be called part of real Canada by anyone who knows history or Geography (Ontario and Quebec have 65% of Canada's population).

The bill 101 is a respnse to the conclusion of the lac meech meeting. If the french had been protected just a little bit, this law would have never existed but the english want to live in a francophone province without even speaking french, this is ridiculous. How can they coexist with us if the communication is impossible.
