  • Too soon, too soon.

  • Obama is likely to go with a reductive cantonment strategy in Afghanistan. McChrystal forwarded a military assessment of what is needed to "win"... in a conflict that is more political than military... with military means. It's to be expected that those perspectives would not mesh at all, much less perfectly.
