I've adored Audrey Tautou since I saw Amélie, which is one of my favourite films, but it's so great to see her in different types of roles.
Thanks for this lovely interview, as usual. I find it really charming when Alessandro is talking about his children... :-) He seems a good guy, apart from a wonderful actor.

@inilopezalonso And you know, he is as dark-haired as he seems in these Rouge Tomate videos. This summer in Provincetown, he seemed blonder. Just the sun, I guess.

...and I agree Alessandro , the image of Audrey being fragile and sweet comes from "Amelie",we all know in France that she's a tough chick lol but I just love that about her.

I hope the Academy remembers this beautiful, original film when it comes time to vote for the TEN nominees for Best Picture! And I hope they remember Audrey Tautou at the very least! I think the costumes are a slam dunk!

I agree,At least best Foreign film! I still think that it was a crime when France decided not to put "La vie en Rose" in the running for the oscar a couple of years ago (I am sure it would have wonn) .So We never know what is gonna happen with this one, I hope France will consider putting this one up..On the other hand I would LOVE Alessandro Nivola to be selected in the running for a Cesar,he was brilliant and his French was great (I was really impressed)

Yes, he learned French for this movie and also he learned horseback-riding!
