Cool distro, it runs amazing on my pentium II 256mb ram

@marcuspbaird it's really easy to add the apps to the menu. the only thing u had to do is ask instead of Screaming and Yelling that it sucks, when it's the user that doesn't understand..

Thanks a lot for this video. Crunchbang is awesome but not recommended to new user with no linux experience. If some is sick of Ubuntu & Co and wants to try something new, Crunchbang is a great choice. It's blazing fast, highly customisable and stable. I have replaced my beloved Ubuntu with the current Crunchbang and I am loving it!

great review! i love #!

It's interesting to note that Ubuntu is based in Debian and with every Ubuntu release there is synchronizing with Debian's unstable branch.

I recently installed this in Virtualbox. I noticed that their was only around 2000 packages in Synaptic. I had to add the Debian testing repository and now there are almost 30000 packages. I installed LXDE to make it more user friendly to me. Seems like a real nice option.

Openbox is pretty awesome when you start getting into it. I am surprised that Crunchbang uses gdm though. It does not really seem like the lightest option.

@marcuspbaird Look for a program called MenuMaker to refresh your menu in openbox. There is also a program called Obmenu to add/remove entries to your menu. You can also alter the menu file directly located at ~/.config/openbox/menu.xml
this suck when you install a program it doesn't install onto the menu whats the point I hate mucking around with stuff like that mint lxde is much better

@marcuspbaird as stated this video was done by request and it is not as user friendly as other distros out there

Looks really nice but not so much on the user friendly/ ease of use side. More for experienced users than newbies. Still overall a good distribution and I LOVE the dark theme. More distros need to use DARK themes by default!

@Live4TheGame1 or at least provide a dark theme as an option
