It will work. If you remove it entirely you should have no problem.

What I did was backed up my files just for this kind of case if you get it to work again back them up go into run put in %appdata% you will see a folder called .minecraft go into it and copy all of the files just like backing up your stuff when installing a mod but I do have a premium account so I do know this problem it did this to me all I had to do was wait a few days thats it and it worked try this it may help out well hope it works
