This Mamba was footage at the Kolmårdens Tropikarium in Sweden.. Some short info about this snake:

The Black Mamba (Dendroaspis polylepis) is an elapid snake found in Africa. It inhabits a wide range of locations throughout the continent as it is found in Ethiopia, Kenya, Botswana, Uganda, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Angola, Namibia, Malawi, Mozambique, Swaziland, South Africa and the Congo. It is one of Africa's most venomous and feared snakes. The black mamba inhabits a wide variety of areas that include open savannahs, open woodlands, and rocky outcrops. It is also known for being very aggressive when threatened and will not hesitate to strike with deadly precision.

The black mamba is the longest venomous snake in Africa and the second longest venomous snake in the world. Adult black mambas have an average length of 2.5 meters (8.2 ft) and a maximum length of 4.3 meters (14 ft).[2] Of the venomous snakes of the world, only the King Cobra is longer. [3] The name "black mamba" is somewhat confusing because it contradicts the snake's actual color. Its body is not black at all; the name is given to it because of its inky black mouth. Normally, mambas have a dark olive, olive green, grey brown, or metal color. Some of them have a light band around their body. As mambas get older, their skin begins to darken.[4] The black mamba is reputed to be the fastest moving snake in the world, and has been claimed to move at up to 19.5 km/h (12 mph).

This is entirely WRONG and inaccurate. The boomslang is a rear-toothed snake that rarely bites and it is not particularly dangerous. The land snake that needs the smallest amount of venom to kill is the inland taipan (Oxyuranus microlepidotus). There are many very dangerous sea snakes that are classified with elapids also. The most dangerous snake in Africa is likely the mamba, I agree, but watch your posts!

  • black mamaba is not the most aggrasive snake in the world, that should go to the one from the Cobra family.

  • @Quartz91 Boomslang, on the other hand is much smaller, much less aggressive and is going to flee in far more cases than mamba. Man, I mean that I would rather sleep in 1 bad with boomslang, than be in one small room with black mamba, that says it all. The only rival mamba may have is Australian coastal taipan.

  • @Quartz91 It is in fact. Very quick and aggressive, willing to bite several times in the face or chest. 4m length makes your face easily available as a target. In my opninion it is by far the scariest animal on the planet.

That depends.. The Boomslang need the least amount of venom in order for it to kill.

The black mamba is the fastet, and sometimes most agressive snake in the world, but that doesnt mean its the most dangerous.

  • ewww.. kahadlok..

  • Jameshunt an anaconda does not beat this dumb one a black mamba is the most dangerous snake in the world
