Nonsense. Your right in saying that Arsenal put Cole on the map, obviously they did, he was their player, just like we put Gallas on the map. But to sday he has declined since moving is wrong, he has been one of Chelsea's most consistent performers in the last 3/4 years and is now back to his best.

from what i've seen of him at chelsea he hasn't been anywhere near the standard of his former self. He is better now than he was when he first joined Chelsea, but i still dont think he's been that good. I have quite a few mates who are chelsea fans and they say Arsenal got the better end of the deal so its not just me being bitter that hes chelsea now.

Well, ok...I disagree. First and second season he was primarily used as a defender by mourinho and grant rather than an attacking full back, which he was very consistent in. As a defender he made very few errors, and couldn't really be used in the same way he was at arsenal as he didn't have Pires and Henry supporting him up the left, only now is he being used int he same way as he was at yours. And I maintain we got the better end of the deal, gallas is a trouble maker, cole isn't

cole has a dig at Arsenal in the press quite a lot. But the one thing i do have to give Cole credit for is how well he has taken the boos. I mean i dont know how Cole would react if he scored against us, but im sure he wouldnt run the full length of the pitch like Adebayor did. Gallas scored against Chelsea at the emirates a couple of seasons back he didnt make any gestures to the chelsea fans. As far as i can see they both left their clubs on bad terms, so does that make them both troublemakers

Yeah but gallas was far more of a trouble maker for us than cole was at yours. Ok he went behind the clubs back but it was the meida that made such a song and dance about it, I'm led to believe he still had friedns who worked at arsenal as well as many players who were still there after he left, whereas Gallas directly tried to stir stuff up at Chelsea, threatning own goals, refusing to go on club tours etc.
IMO Cole wouldn't celebrate if he scored vs arsenal coz he knows what they gave him

what so saying he felt isolated at arsenal due to the foreigners at the club and moaning about being on £55k a week isn't causing trouble?. He obviiously wasn't isolated at Arsenal as it's pretty clear everyone at the club respected him as they have mentioned since he has left. As for his wages, what a twat as if he wouldnt be able to live off £55k a week. Most people dont even earn that in a year, let alone a week. And he has a popstar gf, lifes so hard on £55k a week huh?

Look, I do think he went about it in the wrong way you know "Swerving off the road" etc. It sounds ridiculous, of course it does, all I can say is that if I was a top player at a club and all my collegues were (reportedly) earning far more than me than i would feel pretty annoyed, as i would do if I was promised one thing and given another. Wheter he can survive on 55k a week isn't the point

to be honest at Arsenal there weren't too many on + £50k a week. And the players that are above that are considered key members of the team. So it's not that we didn't rate him at Arsenal, it's just we are pretty tight with money as you can see as we don't want to end up in financial trouble and end up like another Chelsea or Man City totally reliant on their 'sugar daddies'. Cole was being selfish and has no loyalty. We're gonna have to agree to disagree on this one.

It seems that way. Whilst I agree Cole was partly in the wrong I can't buy into this character vilification...anyway lest hope for a good game next sunday, right?

yep should be a cracking game. I am looking forward to it, and obviously hope we can get the right result. A win for you would put you in a good position at the top and a win for us will have us in a better position, especially with the fact we have a game in hand.
