  • @J8Dust8 Right, that makes much more sense, thank you.

  • @unoriginal345 Wow, my bad. I used the wrong terminology. I was trying to refer to a Quarter step, or half of a semitone. the recording version is in a key between between F minor and E minor, and there is no note between an E and an F, THAT is what i meant.

  • @J8Dust8

    Keyboards do have semitones.

  • @unoriginal345 well yes but the problem is that keyboards dont have semitones. the absolute pitch of the recorded song is halfway between a step on the keyboard, and that doesn't exist. you can use a pitchblend wheel to tune it appropriately, but if you are trying to use an acoustic piano you wont be able to obtain the correct absolute pitch.

  • @J8Dust8

Couldn't you just play all of this down a semitone?

  • @unoriginal345 in the original song the piano is tuned down half a step. this can only be accomplished by electronic means such as a pitch bending scroll wheel. unless you really want to tune the wires of an actual Piano down half a step each just for one song, but that's not feasible.

  • @Taylorluv Nice!

  • How cool

  • Lol I just learnt this song exactly year after he posted it

  • I like this tutorial it's not all cookie cutter like the rest it's kind of raw like how I'd do a tutorial. I can respect that.
