When I first saw this on HBO in November 1978, I honestly thought that this jump scene was some sort of visual effect concocted by way of Industrial Light and Magic (as Star Wars was a year and a half old by that time). It wasn't until around 2000 when I saw the DVD extras that I learned that this jump was 4 real! Nonetheless this movie and Moonraker inspired me to take up skydiving and (in short order) BASE jumping!
