Autistic kids and playgrounds!

As you can see with all the fun stuff around my son Michael, he would rather cover the slide with sand and run his fingers through it, my son has huge sensory issues, so going to park usually relieves some of them for him, since i started this for him , no meltdowns EVER when i say its time to go home =0)

when I was 9 I got punched by one of them I know why they do that sometimes but Im 14 now and now I get hit kicked and even LICKED!!! UGH!!!!its not that I hate them its just every time I try to help them the abuse me!>:(

@doty4454 Sometimes kids like Ours cant help what they do , Usually when they stim they act out and the nearest thing next to them gets hit, often its another person which sucks, i have been attacked on numerous occasions ..it happens mostly when they are put into a new environment that they dont know or around new people, it takes time for them to understand whats going on around them to process it in their mind, to many sounds, people talking etc gets confusing and it makes them act out =(

@S4ndy71 Im so sorry thats happen to you, it is sad, you have to remember some people are scared of the unknown sometimes , next time people stare ask them of they know anything about your sons condition if they dont talk to them and help them understand it, Good luck and take care

@Casanova1177 I have talked to his team of doctors numerous times about it  and we all have different opinions on it, Im not to interested in putting him on a diet, my son is severely autistic and NON Verbal ,he is fluent in sign as well, he acts out regardless because he cant communicate with us quicker, i dont think a diet change is going to help it out that much, his pediatrician feels the same way as i do,my son isn't allergic to anything so far, if he wants to change his diet its up to him

@Casanova1177 Im not selfish or naive,Nor will it ruin my sons life if he isn't on a diet, Autism has been in our family for over 40 years, we are very well educated when it comes to it, Just because things worked out well for you doesn't mean it will work for others, i know kids on diets that have been on them for over 5 years and it didn't help their cause much, Every parent takes a different approach on how to handle their kids Autism, all our kids are different

@Eirebabe74 I was born with autism and asperger's, and being in his state of mind is like being in a prison of your own mind, and that diet changed my life so massively, it will take time to kick in, but if you dont try it, it will ruin his life so badly, I know what its like to be in your sons shoes, so please dont dont be selfish or naive, and try the diet, and by the way: the diet will take 3 months for all unwanted protiens to exit his system, and you will see good changes in him

@Casanova1177 Hi, my son isnt on any diets, i would never allow that he deals with enough as is and im not going to take everything away from him, he eats what he wants , i know some kids have allergies etc and i understand why they are on diets, thanks for the tip =)
