I know what you mean about the whole votes thing. I had success in one video contest (see Sarahbou & Caribou) because I told everyone about it on the boards where I'm active and asked they spread the word. I think my video was good, but if I hadn't done a lot of publicizing, I don't know that it would have come in as highly as it did. Still, I was able to get a DSLR with the proceeds. :)

Cool ... so it earned you some money? I had some nice people from P&G call me and work on airing it but it never materialized. Wonder if they can help me find a literary agent for my scripts?

I didn't even know there was a contest until I searched for the original ad to send to a friend. This is hysterical! Great job. How did you do?

Sorry to be so late in replying ... missed the comment somehow. I got into the top ten but wasn't the winner. Much of the contest was about votes so if you had lots of friends you stood a better chance. It did real well though and Procter and Gamble wanted to air it but I couldn't figure out the details for the copyrights on the photo (not mine) so we hit a roadblock there. I still like it though, thanks for the comment.
