Filmed June 13, 2012. A march conceived from solidarity, but slowly transitioning its messaging to focus on the US student loan debt crisis. Tonight many familiar faces from Occupy Wall Street joined in the march which wound its way through the West Village to High Line Park where they were denied entry to. The police were out in force as they were the previous Casseroles march on May 22, and June 6, and even before the march began they announced people must stay on the sidewalks "for their own safety", and repeated that warning/mantra throughout the night. Over a dozen people were arrested for minor offenses, e.g., wearing "masks", violating noise ordinance, walking in the street, etc. but marchers seemed inured, and not easily intimidated this week.

The video basically shows some of the highlights of the march, it's not a great edit but serviceable.

At (0:54) marchers head down Cornelia St. A Deputy Inspector can be seen running up behind a girl in an attempt to take her, but she (apparently unaware that she was being pursued) stepped back onto the sidewalk forcing the cop to disengage. When she stepped back onto the street, she was apprehended by the Deputy Inspector.

(2:34) people make a left turn at Grove Street, some are arrested here.

(2:59) marchers at waverly and stonewall pl getting arrested. Extended footage of these arrests are in the following video

(3:37) another arrest at 7th ave south and greenwich ave.

(3:46) marchers form a "wall" and "soft block" to prevent further arrests as they take their message into the Meatpacking District, and the High Line Park. Marchers also chant "A-Anti-Capitalista"

(6:18) announcement at 10.45pm of not being allowed to make noise, and an arrest of a girl drumming.
