Trainer Sara Licht took Karner for a test ride during the first week of October 2011, for his owner. Karner is adapting to using the bit after being ridden in a bitless bridle for 11 months. Karner was a good sport. After about 20 minutes in the large hay field, Sara rode in laughing and said, "He's fun!"
Sara Licht trained Karner to drive (pull a cart) a couple of years ago. During that time, Sara found him to be willing and smart, and Karner learned to do his job well. This was their first time working together since then.
