While walking back to my hotel I ran into the start of an anti racism/facist rally. At the same moment I was arriving so were the the military police, and very heavily armed. I believe that the police wanted to ensure that the rally organizers understood that taking the street would not be tolerated. I fully support the right to organize and march against the evils of racism and facism. I spoke to a few of the young people and they were well spoken and socially aware. Gives me hope for the future :-)
TIS PROTEST IS NT ONLY ABOUT RACISM REGARD RACE ALONE,BUT.MISOGINIISM AND ...RACISM TOWARDS THE OTHER PPL FROM THE NORTH/NORTHEAST OF BRASIL WHO ARE BLAMED FOR MOST OF THE POVERTY IN SAO PAULO..SQUATTERS AND CRIMES.
