So the public has an opportunity to comment, Martin Barondic requested that a discussion on prayer be placed on a future agenda. Prayer will be an agenda item for the next Lebanon County commissioner's meeting on Thursday, February 5, 2009, 9:30AM, in the commissioner's conference room, 400 S. 8th St., Lebanon--2nd floor.
Pennsylvania 1776, Preamble We, the people of Pennsylvania, grateful to Almighty God for the blessings of civil and religious liberty, and humbly invoking His guidance....
Sorry but nothing fails like prayer.
You should research the religious beliefs of our founding fathers because it is much different than you suggest.

This USA was founded and established by people who prayed. Prayer is in many of our early documents. Just yesterday the Congress of the USA had their national prayer breakfast. Congress has their own chaplins to lead them in prayer. I f they find it helpful , I trust you may also . Grace to you and peace.

Believe me, I would NEVER vote for someone who feels this is an important thing to do at the beginning of a government meeting. IF YOU WANT TO PRAY, DO IT BEFORE YOU LEAVE YOUR HOUSE, DO IT IN YOUR CAR, DO IT IN YOUR OWN HEAD AS YOU SIT IN THE MEETING ROOM, BUT LEAVE MY GOVERNMENT OUT OF IT!!

Why on EARTH should a governmental organization be dealing with this issue?? This is America, where supposedly people are free to follow what religion they want, OR TO FOLLOW NO RELIGION. The framers of the Constitution felt it was very important to separate church and state. Why is this being challenged? What is to gain by pushing your religion on everyone else?
