@TheCholquito Hey, sorry it tok so long i'm not on much because of college. I have never seen that happen before. What you may want to do is re-install gimp or get the newer version. It might be a program glitch. Otherwise I would have to see for myself what you possibly did in the process that made it do that.

@Jahooglema90 you are going to want to go to the windows or the view menu and find the layers, paths and something else menu option.
