dan drop your brake and clutch levers down a bit,not so low as they touch the fairing on full lock but dropping them 10 -15mm makes riding sooo much easier on your wrists!nice sounding bike!

@yoooitsdan Made the change from 600 to 1000 and I couldn't agree more. I could easily keep up with myself on my old bike. But still, 1000's are more fun on the street :P

when it comes down to choosing a bike, you'll go to the dealer knowing your gonna get a r6 because all your friends tell you it's the most hardcore one, but as soon as you step in that dealer room there is always one bike which will seduce you, it will be any of the jap 600's it's all about what you can't take your eye off when you first see it, and personally the gixxer 1000 has the most awesome exhuast note ever, especially better than the ducati's low grumble, it is so high pitched lol

@ninja6kid You've never even been on a race track so what would you know about "handling". Fucking street riders annoy the living shit out of me.
all modern-day supersport bikes are so close it's ridiculous. with that said, it's not about numbers or your fancy levers or your pretty riser caps or clear case covers, it's about the riders skill level and suspension setup. yes i am talking about a closed circuit track where 600's shine. any monkey can sit and talk about numbers at the crank or rwhp.
