Outside Cannes in Mougins, exiled filmmaker Lars von Trier talks candidly about Melancholia, originally developed for Penelope Cruz, Kirsten Dunst, depression, and the disastrous film festival press conference where he called himself a Nazi.
yeah, of COURSE he's NOT a Nazi! I really don't understand why people are acting as if what von Trier said were some GREAT revelation or something? Like, he's REALLY a Nazi and has FINALLY revealed that? Come on, this is clearly a combination of Lars being inarticulate, a bit of a language barrier and an inability to demonstrate his humor...do people REALLY think he's a 'secret Nazi' or something? i JUST don't get it? maybe there's something wrong with me?
CLEARLY this guy is no Nazi. He's a provocateur and a great filmmaker.
