  • great video. looks like you have great grip strength because you didn't use straps or 1-ton hooks. have you any SCT forearm/grip strength exercises to recommend?

  • @philbankhill thanks man. eventually I did 610lbs for about 4-5 seconds. And never used grips. However, I did use a napkin as a barrier between my palms and the handle. So in a way I did use a grip although more so to prevent the slippage caused by latent sweat.

  • might think about isolating the muscle to increase electrical force as opposed to splitting the current thereby increasing growth and potential. i stay away from dual because it puts direct pressure on the spine since the traps are resting directly ontop of the spinal cord. i shrug exactl 5 plates like you but split 1 hand using a foot position that takes pressure away from the spine. suggestion

  • @Polydior369 interesting. Yes, it did feel like it was putting pressure on the upper spine toward the cranial area....although I didnt have any pain after wards or anything...I agree that doing one arm/trap at a time would probably be safer perhaps. Thanks!

  • Old Time Strong Man AUTHUR SAXON.only man in recorded history to bentpress 375 pounds with one hand,he only weight 200 pounds! it is inconsivible to even think of trying to support such a weight on one's own shoulder.this shows how strong our bodys can become.can this person repeat the same weight with a BarBell?

  • Cool. But, How about you just simply do a rack hold,or extra short range partial rep deadlift ? You're traps get worked just as much doing them as they would with the partial shrugs, plus, you're forearms Really get Maximized stimulation and strength enhancement.

  • @hattube Unless great care is taken to maintain posture, heavy unilateral loads to the spine are -more- dangerous, not less. For unilateral moves to be done safely, much energy is used to keep the torso straight, turning shrugs into as much of a core exercise as a trap exercise. Not necessarily a bad thing, but also not the point of shrugs.

  • @Polydior369 interesting comment. are you saying you are doing single arm trap exercises? ("i stay away from dual...")

  • Dang man!! Nice do you have any other videos?
