With support from the UK Department for International Development (DFID) through the LA Partnership Programme Arrangement (LAPPA), the Alliance was able to fund its work both at country and regional level in LA since 2005. The first phase of LAPPA funding lasted from 2005 to 2008; the second phase started in 2008 and ended in 2010. Untied to any particular programme or project, funding from LAPPA allowed the Alliance to focus on working with Key Populations in the region; it also allowed the Alliance, particularly during the second phase to contribute to the achievement of Universal Access to HIV prevention, testing, care and treatment services, placing particular emphasis on promoting the inclusion of marginalised communities which also carry the burden of the epidemic in LA. This short film presents the main findings of an internal Alliance LAPPA review (2008-2010) to external stakeholders.
