Nate Morton, drummer from the CBS show ROCKSTAR, currently performing on MTV's, ROCK THE CRADLE, explains where in the bar the beginning of the intro drum fill from the classic Zep song Rock & Roll begins and how it resolves. -excuse the crooked camera angle, the room is not actually sliding down a hill.

  • you're one of the few drummer I've heard that are able to make it sound good...I usually don't try to replicate famous drum fills, intro or groove, but I guess I should try, this is the bible for a drummer...

  • Nate, please, put more videos of your skills on this channel!! You rock!

  • Awesome job explaining that. I listened to a lot of Zeppelin when I was a young teen and I never really had a full grasp of what Bonham's intention was in that drum fill, but I never cared THAT much to really figure it out either. I'm glad I know now though. It's really odd to start 3 beats before the one. Thanks!

  • that intro is really tricky!

  • Funny, back in high school in the 80s I played this song on bass in a band and for whatever reason I never thought out the timing of it, I just heard the song so many times I knew where to come in without even thinking about it.
