is it possible to record a backing track with real drums, and then import it into live (as WAV,MP3,...)?
-
Yeah you should.
I think you just double-click Impulse under the instruments tab in live devices to use it.
1. Insert a new midi track
2. In the "browser" window, you select the instruments tab and there are Ableton built in instruments, select the instrument "Impulse", drag it over to the midi track.
3. You will see the bottom window display the parameters for the impulse drum kit
4. Select some drum hits from your sample library and drag them onto the pads
5. double click a free box in the midi instrument to create a new sample
6. you'll see the arrangement view to edit your drum loops
